Deputado constituinte 46 e um dos principais dirigentes do Partido Comunista - cassado quando o partido foi posto na ilegalidade, Carlos Marighella tornou-se um dos líderes da luta armada contra a ditadura militar no Brasil. Em 1966 propôs o caminho da guerrilha e fundou a Ação Libertadora Nacional (ALN) - um dos primeiros movimentos armados criados após 1964 para tentar derrubar o golpe fascista de abril daquele ano. O documentário sobre a vida desse grande revolucionário e humanista brasileiro contará a trajetória do professor Marighella, do deputado Marighella, do guerrilheiro Marighella e, acima de tudo, do homem Carlos Marighella.
