Quando Charlie conheceu Daphne, ele na verdade conheceu a mulher dos seus sonhos. O que ele não imaginava era que teria que travar uma batalha com Babydoll, o cachorrinho da jovem, para conquistar seu coração. Mas nada é por acaso e quando ele se vê perdendo a batalha para o cão, algo inesperado e inexplicável acontece. Charlie percebe que ele adora o cachorrinho e que a mulher dos seus sonhos, não é lá tão perfeita assim. Agora esse cara terá que fazer milagres para manter o relacionamento com a nada convencional Daphne se quiser continuar convivendo com o melhor amigo do homem, Babydoll. O bicho vai pegar, afinal ninguém disse que seria fácil.
