Em 2007, antes de ser sancionada a lei que proibe o sacrifício de animais abandonados, Santana (Babu Santana) é um funcionário do Centro de Controle de Zoonoses de São Paulo que trabalha recolhendo cães de rua. Certo dia ele captura um enorme cachorro raivoso cujo dono (Lázaro Ramos) só aparece para recuperá-lo dias depois, quando já é tarde demais. Irado, o homem culpa Santana pelo ocorrido e trama uma cruel vingança.
