Gravado ao vivo, no Palácio das Artes em Belo Horizonte, o registro traz alguns de seus maiores sucessos, com arranjos orquestrais. Nele, Alceu está acompanhado de seu violão, sua voz inconfundível e da Orquestra Ouro Preto, regida pelo maestro Rodrigo Toffolo. A produção é de Paulo Rogério Lage. O DVD foi concebido tendo como referência a biografia musical de Alceu. O concerto explora as particularidades sonoras e conceituais que tornaram a obra do cantor um marco na história da música popular brasileira. Assim, guitarra, violão, baixo elétrico, bateria e percussão dialogam com instrumentos típicos da sonoridade nordestina como sanfona, zabumba, tampa de panela, rabeca e marimbau que, por sua vez, se unem a uma orquestra de cordas.
