Logo após a tomada de Berlim, pelos Aliados, em 1944, alguns altos dirigentes do III Reich se espalharam pelo mundo, tentando reavivar as cinzas do nazismo que morria no delírio do fim-de-guerra. Entre eles, Martin Bormann e seus cúmplices, que embarcam num submarino, fugindo para a América do Sul, mais precisamente para as costas brasileiras, onde afundaram o submarino com toda a tripulação para não deixar vestígios de seu paradeiro. Embora desaparecidos, foram julgados e condenados pelo tribunal de Nuremberg. 20 anos depois, no Brasil, um americano e um capitão do exército brasileiro desenvolvem uma busca acirrada.
