Em dezembro de 1941, o Japão decide expandir sua dominação a países vizinhos para o Sudeste Asiático, e acabam tomando a estrada de ferro de Tianjin para Nanjing, no leste da China, transformando-a em uma rota de transporte militar vigiada por soldados armados. Inconformado, o trabalhador ferroviário Ma Yuan (Jackie Chan) vai liderar uma equipe de lutadores em busca da da liberdade do local. Usando seu profundo conhecimento sobre a rede ferroviária, ele e seus homens vão iniciar uma guerra por justiça.
