Carrie é uma adolescente da cidade grande cuja vida é virada de cabeça para baixo quando ela se muda para um rancho em Wyoming para morar com o pai. Mas tudo muda quando Carrie conhece Flicka, um selvagem e negro mustang que é tão livre e forte quanto Carrie.
