Sonny Briggs (Sean Carrigan) é motorista em Las Vegas e o que ganha mal da pra fazer suas apostas. A vida de um jogador compulsivo nunca é fácil, mas quando você está passando por uma fase de azar o jogo se torna perigoso rapidamente. Ele acha que as coisas não podem piorar, até aparecer Carmen (Corrine Van Ryck de Groot), uma assassina profissional contratada por um agiota, para matá-lo. Mas, a sorte um dia tem que virar. Para fugir de Carmen, Sonny entra em um cassino e chama a atenção de um misterioso apostador, Joseph (Billy Zane), que lhe oferece um prêmio: ele vai caçar e tentar matá-lo em 24 horas e, se conseguir sobreviver, receberá 2.4 milhões de dólares. Sonny não pode recusar. Sua vida não vale muito, mas apostando em si mesmo pode ser uma saída. Afinal ele só precisa manter-se vivo, para poder receber a bolada.
