A verdadeira história sobre os irmão Stouffer, três rapazes cujas férias de verão se tornaria uma aventura que duraria uma vida. É o verão de 1968 e Marty (Scott Bairstow), Mark (Devon Sawa) e Marshall (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) Stouffer tem uma idéia maluca. Fascinados pela natureza que os cerca, eles decidem cair na estrada com uma câmera 16mm nas mão para capturarem a vida selvagem da América nunca vista antes, em seu próprio habitat. Agora estes três intrépidos viajantes irão aprender a confiar a depender uns dos outros à medida que eles vão gravando suas arriscadas odisséias e coletando imagens nunca vistas antes de majestosos, poderosos animais em seus próprios territórios.
