O ano é 1984. Pesquisadores do laboratório secreto Bentan Labs estão comemorando a conclusão de seu último projeto de armas: uma espécie de fungo, até então desconhecido, capaz de espalhar e consumir qualquer tipo de vegetação … e ideal para atacar os estoques de alimentos inimigos. Quando um financiador do projeto é acidentalmente infectado, esporos do mofo são soltos em toda a instalação. À medida que os soldados inundam o complexo e a equipe infectada começa a sofrer transformações, os sobreviventes percebem que o fungo é de fato uma criatura alienígena. Para evitar uma morte agonizante, os cientistas restantes devem juntar forças com “Toxic” – um mercenário misterioso que adentrou o edifício em uma missão secreta. Alguém escapará das garras deste fungo fora de controle e do exército de mutantes enlouquecidos que criou?
