O Grande Mestre Leung Tzu, ensina a seus discípulos as técnicas conhecidas como Pérolas do Dragão, Dragão Emergente e Garras de Dragão. Um dia, durante os exercícios, Mestre Leung, desmaia acometido por uma doença desconhecida. Ling Fung, um renegado diabólico e membro do clã do dragão, aproveita para desafiar Mestre Leung, para um combate. Quase não podendo ficar em pé ele tenta lutar, porém seu filho Leung Chow, aceita o desafio em seu lugar. Fung, usando técnicas secretas, somente conhecidas pelos Grandes Mestres, consegue feri-lo gravemente. Essa técnica secreta deixa uma terrível maldição em suas vítimas, assim Ling Fung, oferece a cura para a doença do Mestre Leung, em troca de seu poderoso Medalhão Garras de Dragão. Agora, cabe ao jovem Leung, aprender novas técnicas de lutas, se livrar da maldição e derrotar o imbatível Ling Fung, para salvar sua vida e a vida de seu próprio pai.
