Corte Seco, primeiro longa ficcional de Renato Tapajós, se passa em 1969 e acompanha Rodrigo, militante atuante na luta contra a opressão e a favor da destituição do governo militar. Nessa luta tudo era possível: invasão de estúdios de rádio para transmissão de mensagem rebelde; sequestro de embaixadores promovidos por grupos, os chamados aparelhos; assalto à bancos para financiar tais atividades.
