Edwina Cutwater, é uma milionária que, na hora de sua morte, chama Prahka Lasa, um guru, para transferir a sua alma para o corpo de Terry Hoskins, uma bela mulher. Mas algo sai errado e sua alma vai se incorporar no lado esquerdo de Roger Cobb, seu advogado, enquanto Cobb, fica controlando apenas o lado direito do seu corpo.
