Uma quadrilha impõe o regime de terror numa cidade do Oeste, La Fuente, enquanto seus membros procuram o dinheiro que um dos bandidos entregou a uma criança. A busca promove um conflito sangrento entre os fora-da-lei e os justiceiros. Faroeste ao modo brasileiro, seguindo a linha dos spaghettis italianos, ousado e realista na estética do que seria o western brasileiro. Claramente paulista e dirigido pelo atualmente "cult" Oswaldo de Oliveira, o filme chega a despertar respeito por tais costumes, sem erotismo em excesso, e com trilha sonora que embala perfeitamente o filme.
