Sob a liderança de Afonso Celso Garcia Reis, o Afonsinho, ex-atleta, médico e jornalista que já ganhou um samba-homenagem de Gilberto Gil, surgiu esse encontro de amigos que se reúnem para praticar o esporte e festejar a vida.
