Jack Zeller é um homem inteligente e solitário que continua a lutar contra os horrores que testemunhou como fotógrafo de guerra. Ele recebe uma câmera estranha como presente de aniversário. Ao ver o filme que ela contém, Jack percebe que as imagens mostram mortes iminentes nos locais que ele fotografou. Quando uma cena horrível após a outra se torna realidade, Jack fica com um enorme dilema moral que desafia sua já frágil sanidade.
