Rosa é uma mulher que quer ser perfeita em todas suas obrigações: como profissional, mãe, filha, esposa e amante. Quanto mais tenta acertar, mais tem a sensação de estar errando. Filha de intelectuais dos anos 70 e mãe de duas meninas pré-adolescentes, ela se vê pressionada pelas duas gerações que exigem que ela seja engajada, moderna e onipresente, uma super-mulher sem falhas nem vontades próprias. Até que em um almoço de domingo, recebe uma notícia bombástica de sua mãe. A partir desse episódio, Rosa inicia uma redescoberta de si mesma.
