Juca Valente ( Leandro Hassum), é um sedutor descompromissado. Um dia, Brenda, sua ex-namorada americana, abandona a pequena Emma, ainda bebê, com ele. Desesperado, Juca viaja para os Estados Unidos atrás de Brenda com a esperança de lhe devolver a criança. Seu plano não dá certo e ele fica por lá, trabalhando como dublê. Quando a menina faz seis anos, a mãe reaparece para pedir a guarda da criança.
