Shirobako Movie A história do filme se passa quatro anos após os eventos do anime Shirobako original. Aoi Miyamori se mantém ocupada lidando com os problemas comuns em seu trabalho diário na Musashino Animation. Depois de uma reunião matinal, Watanabe fala com Aoi e a coloca no comando de um novo projeto de anime teatral para o estúdio. O projeto tem problemas inesperados, e Aoi não tem certeza se a empresa pode prosseguir com um anime teatral com seu atual estado de coisas. Enquanto lida com essa ansiedade, Aoi conhece uma nova colega chamada Kaede Miyai (dublado por Ayane Sakura). Ela e a equipe MusAni trabalham juntas para concluir o projeto.
