Renton, filho de cientistas, e Eureka, uma menina que não pode viver debaixo do sol, quando muito jovens tornar-se muito ligados um ao outro. Um dia, o Eureka é tirada de perto dele. Impotente, naquela altura, Renton promete um dia resgatá-la. Ele entra no exercito e é logo enviado ao Unidade Independente Jovens 303 da Primeira Força Móvel graças ao seu desempenho excepcional junto à Nirvash, uma armadura bio-mecânica. Sem saber cabe a Renton, uma parcela em extinguir a invasão alienígena que está a acontecendo, isso acaba envolvendo não só ele, mas também Eureka.
