Ao sair da prisão onde cumpriu pena, João é recebido por seu irmão Mário. Carinhosamente, ele faz tudo para que João esqueça o seu obsessivo amor pela ex-esposa Alice. E lhe dá dinheiro para espairecer, procurar mulheres. No entanto, a primeira tentativa resulta traumatizante. Numa noite, Mário leva João a uma boite onde assistem a um belo 'strip-tease' de Paula.
