Em 1951, quando a Guerra Fria se intensifica, o infame ditador Joseph Stalin está sofrendo de doença e sua morte é iminente. Enquanto isso, o agente da KGB, Stoichkov, descobre um misterioso show na região do Báltico com três bonecas assustadoras - Robert, Kalashnikov e Miss Cyclops. Encantado pela animação realística exibida pelos bonecos no palco, Stoichkov investiga o apresentador do programa e descobre que ele é um Toymaker alemão que possui um livro místico que detém a chave para a vida eterna. Acreditando que o Toymaker e seu livro ajudarão Stalin a escapar da morte, Stoichkov o seqüestra e eles embarcam em um avião para Moscou.
