Teo, um detetive particular, nunca decide atender aos pedidos de sua noiva, Sônia, para que abandone a perigosa profissão e vá trabalhar com seu pai, um rico industrial. Sempre aparece um novo caso fazendo com que Teo adie a visita ao futuro sogro.
