O último pedido é feito no The Roaring 20s, um bar em Las Vegas. Os tempos estão mudando e o estabelecimento terá que fechar. Durante um longo dia e uma noite, os clientes passam para pegar algo para beber e cumprimentar o dono do lugar. À medida que a noite avança, o clima fica cada vez mais selvagem e melancólico. Nas sombras das luzes brilhantes de Las Vegas, a realidade é tão irreal quanto o mundo do qual os frequentadores estão fugindo. O filme é um mosaico de vidas díspares, oscilando entre a dignidade e a devassidão, olhando para o passado enquanto enfrentam um futuro incerto, criando uma memória nebulosa de uma experiência que se perde entre copos vazios e baforadas de fumaça.
