O imunologista aposentado da CIA Wesley McClaren (Steven Seagal) mora isolado com a filha em uma vila da cidade de Montana. Tudo o que ele deseja é paz, porém, o grupo de militantes liderado por Floyd Crisolm (Gailard Sartain) abala a calmaria. Crisolm é precionado pelo FBI e acaba se entregando. O que as pessoas não esperavam era que ele deixaria uma arma química para explodir na região de McClare, deixando o local em quarentena. Agora, McClaren precisa salvar sua vida, a da filha e a dos pacatos moradores da vila.
