Internados numa enfermaria, um escritor, um alcoólatra e um motoqueiro racista têm de lidar com suas diferentes posturas para superar seu difícil cotidiano.Um jovem escritor, um motociclista rebelde e racista e um alcoólatra negro e galanteador acabam se encontrando em uma enfermaria. Paralíticos descobrem que os preconceitos e vícios devem ser superados quando se quer reconstruir a vida. Surpresas com o destino trágico, começam a trocar experiências e aos poucos nasce a amizade. Porém as visitas da amante do novelista começam aos poucos restabelecer o clima de tensão e conflitos uma vez esquecidos, ressurgem marcados pela amargura.
