Durante os anos 90, Eddie e Amber, dois adolescentes na Irlanda, decidem começar um relacionamento falso. Eles querem evitar suspeitas sobre suas orientações sexuais devido ao abuso homofóbico persistente no país. Amber pretende levar uma vida lésbica em um ambiente mais liberal, e para isso tenta economizar dinheiro e se mudar.
