Desavisado sobre um decreto divino que permitia ao Deus do Rio (Fang Xin) punir os aldeões que exploravam a terra, Jiang Zi Ya (Benny Chan) sela a entrada do deus no vilarejo de Ru Yi na tentativa de salvá-los. Porém, esse ato vai contra o código dos deuses, e Zi Ya é punido e enviado ao reino dos mortais sem seus poderes. Nesse reino, Zi Ya é resgatado por uma mortal de bom coração, Qing Luan (Niu Ze Meng), mas, quando o Deus do Rio consegue quebrar o selo e liberar sua ira, Zi Ya se vê obrigado a encontrar uma forma de impedi-lo. Com a ajuda de Qing Luan, Zi Ya tentará se redimir e recuperar os poderes para triunfar contra a ira do Deus do Rio.
