José Miguel "Makey" é um policial espanhol com 25 anos de carreira, ingênuo, teimoso e obcecado por filmes de ação dos anos 80. Para cumprir a lei, ele acaba suspendendo o maior evento esportivo do ano, o clássico entre Real Madrid e Barcelona., mas isso o faz ser punido e enviado para a longínqua polícia de Costa del Sol. Lá, enquanto tenta retomar o relacionamento com sua filha que não vê há anos, Makey acaba se envolvendo em uma perigosa operação de narcotráfico internacional.
