Em 1º de março de 1982 a cidade de Niterói entra para a história ao sediar um dos mais importantes movimentos culturais: a chamada Geração Rock 80. Entra no ar a Rádio Fluminense FM, conhecida como “A Maldita”, que misturava irreverência, ousadia e criatividade com sua programação voltada para uma música carente de espaços comerciais de veiculação. A ousadia de acreditar no novo fez com que a “Maldita” se tornasse um dos principais veículos alternativos de comunicação, lançando grupos do rock brasileiro e da música independente e criando uma legião de fãs.
