Após a trágica perda de sua esposa lutando contra as forças das trevas, Gabriel é persuadido a se juntar novamente à sua antiga equipe de caçadores de demônios viajando da relativamente obscuridade na América para as profundas regiões desconhecidas da Europa. Ele é acompanhado por seu ex-melhor amigo Michael, que guarda um segredo sombrio, a mística Hannah cujas visões prevêem o futuro, e uma tripulação de caçadores de demônios. Depois de perder parte de sua equipe Gabriel deve confrontar seu passado trágico e decidir quem realmente é amigo ou inimigo.
