Mário, um jovem escritor que resolve oficializar a relação com Fernando, seu namorado e diretor da companhia de teatro em que trabalha no Rio de Janeiro. Mário viaja para o sul, decidido a revelar sua verdadeira identidade para o pai que desconhece tanto sua profissão quanto sua orientação sexual. Quando cria coragem, o que era difícil se torna impossível. Mario se vê obrigado a assumir os negócios da família, uma tradicional cervejaria, e acaba tendo que adiar suas revelações, além de conhecer Ana... o amor é imprevisível.
