Nicholas Santini é um jovem que tenta conquistar seu posto como um membro efetivo da Máfia de Nova Jersey. Tentando impressionar os membros mais velhos, dentre eles seu influente tio Danny, ele elabora um golpe espetacular que pode render milhões. Como ele não está mais satisfeito com seu trabalho de roubar caminhões nas estradas de Nova Jersey, Nick conspira com um gênio da computação de sua antiga vizinhança no Brooklyn para plantar um chip modificado em um satélite que os permitirá desviar alguns trocados de milhões de contas bancárias. Porém, esse esquema o levará a um fatídico encontro que vai forçá-lo a tomar uma difícil decisão: manter a lealdade a seus amigos e obter sua tão sonhada promoção na organização ou dar uma sentença de morte a um de seus companheiros.
