Um papagaio atrevido e uma bibliotecária destroem a vida bem ordenada de um homem solitário. Lyman (Jackson Hurst) é um solitário que trabalha no turno da noite para a "Patrulha de Estrada". Órfão devido a um acidente de carro que matou seus pais aos quatro anos, ele sabe apenas seu sobrenome e ano aproximado de nascimento. Quando um papagaio verde aparece em seu trailer, ele fica obcecado em encontrar seu dono, o que o leva até Fiona (Rachel Nichols). Ela fica de olho em Lyman e então decide ajudar na busca, quer ele queira ou não. Junto com seu basset hound, eles partem em uma missão para encontrar os antigos donos do pássaro e Fiona começa também a desvendar o mistério do passado de Lyman.
