Cientistas anunciam a descoberta de uma terra perdida, escondida dentro da caverna quente de um vulcão adormecido, sob a calota de gelo polar. Masten Thrust, um bilionário magnata do petróleo e caçador profissional, é recrutado para liderar uma equipe que ira ate la para estudar a nova descoberta. Ao chegar, Thrust e sua equipe descobrem que o mundo oculto é habitado por dinossauros e humanos pré-históricos. Enquanto os humanos dão aos exploradores um pouco de dificuldade, o perigo real é o tiranossauro faminto que pretende fazer o grande caçacor branco e sua tripulação de almoço.
