Quando um misterioso assassino transforma a Semana Santa de uma pacata cidade num pesadelo sangrento, cabe a Detetive Maria Delago prendê-lo. No entanto, sua missão torna-se cada vez mais perigosa e aparentemente impossível de ser solucionada à medida que as estreitas e tortuosas ruelas da parte histórica da cidade vão rapidamente se enchendo de penitentes encapuzados para um antigo e tradicional ritual.
