O protagonista do filme é um compositor com uma imaginação de outro mundo. Ele é um senhor de idade que pensa ainda ser um garoto. Enquanto dorme, ele viaja em seu passado distante, onde seus antigos sonhos retornam misturados com o mundo de música e fantasia do menino.
