Na Grécia antiga, uma jovem princesa enfrenta a ordem do rei, que determina que um de seus irmãos que lutou na guerra fique sem sepultura. Antígona enterra o irmão e, por isso, paga com a própria vida. O ato de Antígona é sagrado, obedece à lei humana de cuidar dos nossos mortos. O ato de Creonte, o rei, é um ato político, uma punição. Quem está com a razão? Inspirado na peça teatral de Sófocles.
