Um velho vendedor de medicamentos e seus três alunos aprendizes de kung fu são duramente espancados e humilhados em público por um mestre errante especialista em artes marciais (Kwan Feng). Determinados a vingar seu mestre e recuperar sua honra, os três alunos desaparecem e seguem caminhos separados para encontrar mestres de kung fu que lhe ensinem estilos diferentes e aperfeiçoem suas habilidades a fim de derrotar o mestre arrogante. Enquanto isso o velho vendedor fica deprimido e se esconde num templo abandonado onde passa o tempo a beber praticando nos treinamentos o estilo beberão.
