Paris, 1944. Jeanne Devère), uma livre-pensadora, junta-se à resistência ao lado do marido. Jeanne descobre que o traidor foi o seu amante e, a partir de então, tem apenas uma ideia em mente, a de vingança. É no cenário da libertação de Paris e do pós-guerra que se desenha o destino de Jeanne Devère, mulher combatente e apaixonada, na vanguarda da sua geração.
